ABOUT ABOUT

Dark Comedy? Tragedy? Horror? Think you know this play? Think again.

Under the direction of John DeSotelle, Nuance Theatre Co. proudly presents Arthur Kopit's CHAMBER MUSIC.....Like never before seen!

Set in the women's ward of an insane asylum, 1938, Chamber Music explores transgressive themes of entrapment, rebellion and identity...The story revolves around a meeting of eight women to discuss what to do about an imminent attack they fear is mounting from the men's ward.  The women are (or at least believe themselves to be) eight famous figures from history: Gertrude Stein, Susan B. Anthony, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella I, Osa Johnson, Pearl White, Constanze Mozart, and Amelia Earhart.  Come and join us up the attic stairs of the asylum for an urgent member meeting......  Are you ready to meet the Committee?

The development of this professional production originated during COVID quarantine. Months of creative exploration, research and the re-imagining of the script and its characters, has gradually evolved into a professional main stage production of CHAMBER MUSIC.....Like you have not seen before!

Please note restrictions and COVID Safety Protocol below photos.
